My husband and I just bought Coldplay tickets!!!
I am so excited...as you might have read in a previous post, we saw Coldplay last time they were in town and only a month after my son was born. Well now 3 years later, they're back and we're going to see them again...a month after Anna's born. So crazy, huh!? Now I just need to find a family member to babysit ;-)

Anna is sleeping a lot but does has her fussy times for sure!? She gives me about 3 -4 hours of straight sleep at night and then wants to hang out after that mid-night feeding. I guess I can't complain....I just really need my sleep so this is the hardest part for me by far.
I hope to get some time to post my labor/delivery experience soon...so stay posted!

Anna Kathleen Gunn
6.22.2008
So I am sitting here on Sunday afternoon with a quiet house (my husband and son made a quick trip to Home Depot)....waiting for baby Gunn....listening to the new Coldplay CD I recently downloaded off ITunes. It is making think back to 3 years ago when I delivered my son....as I have mentioned in older posts, music is a huge part of my life. So when I packed my bags for the hospital the 1st time, I made SURE to have my music with me. At that time we didn't have an IPod so we just brought some CDs and player. And who did I bring with me? Of course Coldplay & Ray Lamontagne.
So not only is Coldplay significant to me because of my hospital experience BUT I had tickets to see them LIVE a month after my son was born! Now fortunately I was able to nurse Nick, so my 1st "mommy task" was to make sure he would take a bottle by a month old so I could let my sister-in-law babysit while I attended the concert with my husband and some friends...I was not letting anything stop me from missing this concert, lol. Well it all worked out....the concert was fantastic....and I came home refreshed and rejuvenated!
So now 3 years later, I have a new Coldplay CD to listen to as I deliver #2...and this time I have the IPod loaded with all kinds of music. It is packed in my bag and ready to go with me along with our new speakers.

As you all know, I run and own a small business online called Chesapeake Ribbons. Well I just wanted to share with you a new product that I added to my website - a Children's size Stretchy Headband. The headband can be ordered with any of the ribbons you see on my website under the Headbands tab. These are a great alternative for your little ones, especially if they complain about wearing regular headbands.
Please note (& spread the word) that throughout the summer I will be sponsoring free giveaways each month....visit my site and/or keep reading my blog for more details!
And remember, by supporting CR you are also supporting wonderful causes such as Johns Hopkins Children's Center and Wigs for Kids. Read here to learn more about my awesome outreach that separates Chesapeake Ribbons from other online boutiques. Thank you!
Random thoughts...
Well I am sitting here with some cramping...hoping this turns into labor!? We'll see though. My luck does not seem to be going too well right now. This baby seems perfectly content staying right where he/she is right now (and believe me, I am trying all tricks in the book ;D). Worse case scenerio, I call the hospital Monday morning to see what time I can go in for an induction...hopefully that same day depending on how busy the maternity ward will be.
Oh and I have finally gotten around to adding the Philly Mom Blogger's list! A wonderful new group that was recently formed so be sure to visit all these wonderful and fun blogs...so many talented bloggers out there ;-)

Six Word Memoir
Sarah, a fellow Philly Mom Blogger, posted this meme & tagged me so here's my "go at it..."
The meme originated over an idea that was prompted by the book written by Larry Smith & Rachel Fershleiser, Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure. It’s a compilation based on the story that Hemingway once bet ten dollars that he could sum up his life in six words. His words were, “For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn.”
1. Write your own six word memoir.
2. Post it to your blog including a visual illustration if you would like.
3. Link to the person who tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blog sphere.
Sarah's link is: http://freymoyerfamily.blogspot.com/2008/06/six-word-memoir.html
4. Tag 5 more blogs with links.
5. Don’t forget to leave a comment in the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.
So, here we go....my six word memoir:
Nine long months...excited...anxious...uncomfortable.

Now, then, to tag five people:

Doctor's Appointment today...
So I just returned from my doctor's appointment and I am still only 3 cm dilated but 80% effaced!? My due date is on Sunday but the doctor did suggest I go ahead and set-up a date to be induced if I wanted. So...since my son was 8 lbs. 9 oz. & the doc thinks this one is already pretty big, we're going to go ahead and schedule Monday to be induced. I had a very rough recovery with my son so I really want to avoid any complications this time round.
So we are calling the hospital tomorrow and hope to get a date for Monday!
Thanks for all your support and comments :-)

No baby yet...
I know some of you are wondering about the baby and the answer is "not yet." I am completely exhausted now and do not even have the energy to use the computer much!? Crazy, I know. At least I have tons of support w/my mom up from MD and my father-in-law up from FL....they help keep my little "wild man" busy and active. I have a Doctor's appt. on Weds. evening so I will let you know how it goes.

Easy Key Lime Pie
What a refreshing recipe for this hot & humid weather.....not to mention it's super easy while others will think you slaved over it, lol.

1 6-ounce can frozen limeade concentrate (not thawed)
1 cup heavy cream
1 6-ounce graham cracker piecrust
Zest of 1 lime
Place the condensed milk, limeade concentrate, and cream in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment.Beat until fluffy and soft peaks form. What to pack for the hospital?
So I guess it's time to pack my bag for the hospital now that I only have 2 weeks til the due date! And my doctor thinks I might go early (or at least fast since my first was a fairly fast delivery). I thought it would be fun to ask you all what are the best things to pack!?
Any suggestions?
I would love to hear in your comments.....
